This is the third and final part of this interview:

Star charts can be complicated and hard to understand, but don’t be overwhelmed! As a beginner, all you need to do is simply note when the heavenly Sun (the Moon’s cycle can be added in later on) enters a new zodiac sign or crosses into one of the twelve houses of your individual natal chart. The houses are numbered from the left hand side, 1 through 12, around the horoscope wheel, counterclockwise.

On the example chart shown below, the houses are numbered on the inner rim in
Roman numerals, except for the first house, which is labeled “ASC” (Ascendant). The fourth house is also labeled “IC,” the seventh house is marked with “DSC” (Descendant), and the tenth house is indicated with the letters “MC.” So, for example, if the chart provided as an example were your own, you would note that the day is July 9th and the Sun is in the sign of Cancer, which places it in your seventh house, the house of relationships. To find the parallels within The Awakening Tales is very easy. If the example chart were your own, you would simply turn to the seventh tale, “Mirrors.” This chapter of The Awakening Tales would offer you deeper insights into the challenges and potential of your personal relationships.

You might want to re-read the tale daily or weekly for the entire time that the Sun
is visiting your seventh house. (Later, if you progress further in the practice of astrology, you would also contemplate the two and half days when the Moon transits into Cancer in your seventh house of relationships.) You will find progressively deeper insights during this time of focused contemplation and quiet reflection on each tale and the corresponding sign and house where the Sun resides in your horoscope.

Throughout the month, as the days pass, new questions may arise within you. You
may, for example, find yourself asking why the same patterns in relationships appear over and over in your life. Why do you continually attract similar partners? What does
a “significant other” really entail? You may sense that you are asking, “Am I ready? Can I make a long-term commitment? Do I function better in a relationship? Am I better off alone? Do I lose myself in a relationship? Can I stand on my own? What do I give? What do I expect back? What do I need from a partner? What do I take from my relationships? What can I offer another person? How do I contribute to making this relationship harmonious and strong? What can I do to allow us both to grow?”

This exercise over a month’s time of concentration on that particular arena of life
will yield extraordinary insights, awareness, challenges, and solutions about the Self and relationships. With this greater understanding, the conscious mind can begin a process of expansion, while sloughing off old inhibiting patterns of attitude and behavior.

The process we’ve described here is undertaken each time the Sun moves into a
new zodiac sign and house of the natal chart. By tuning into your personal life rhythms,
an incredible depth of self-development and new awareness will surface. With such in-
depth self-knowledge, accelerated personal growth can begin to occur. Whispers of that
still, quiet voice will begin to stir your mind and heart. Your soul will begin its journey to
its own center.

In the Tales we use the phrase “Good food to you.” By this we mean: May you
find that which most truly nourishes your deepest being. I pray that this blessing will
follow your studies around the astrological wheel as you gain a greater awareness of the riches to found by using astrology with The Awakening Tales of the Indigo Wizard.
