The Northeast is in the grip of a tremendous heat wave with temperatures wavering in the high nineties and even topping 100 degrees. The heat and humidity seem to contribute to lethargy and sometimes even to grumpiness. Yet the mantra “Blessed be the Inner Sun” can be a help in these circumstances. Since it is impossible to be unaware of the “Outer Sun” that is so powerful now, the logical next step would be to focus on the inner light that allows us to overcome our discomfort and treat each other with compassion. Tale Seven talks about this idea, and some of the animals in the Glen had trouble accepting it until the Indigo Wizard gave them new ways to think about their relationship with others.

Question: How do you manage to move outside yourself when things aren’t going your way and in act in compassion to others?

Circumstances

Well, I have to admit, this heat and humidity does not sit well with me. So, I have to be extremely "conscious" of my moods. I think how I deal with things in this weather depends alot on the circumstances. I guess that doesn't sound fair, but I think its true.
I need to mentally step back when things start to aggravate me (!) and be a better person. Thats all we can hope for - being a better person. Make the mind "still" and ask what we might learn from this. Hopefully something ....

Just wondering .....
